Tatranská Lomnica and Skalnaté Pleso, which is one of the most visited places in the High Tatras, are connected by the cable cars. The cable car is also going up to the Lomnicky peak, or you can get to the Lomnické saddle by a chairlift. Skalnaté Pleso is located on the Tatras toursitic route „magistrala“ being a starting point for hiking trails to Chata pri Zelenom Plese, Zamkovského chata, Hrebienok and others.
